During the use of connector terminals, we will encounter some problems more or less: such as corrosion, scratches, flashes, cracks, or rough workmanship and deformation of the contact parts caused by various reasons. The appearance of the equipment is not good, or the matching size does not match and other faults;
1. Poor contact:
Causes: unreasonable contact design, wrong material selection, unqualified size or improper treatment of electroplating layer;
Consequences: affect the transmission of power, signals, etc., and may lead to transmission failure in severe cases;
2. Poor fixation:
Causes: due to unreliable design, wrong material selection, improper selection of molding process, poor quality of heat treatment, mold, assembly, welding and other processes, improper assembly, etc.; or sometimes careless installation is incomplete, or product durability such as excessive plugging and unplugging times limited;
Consequences: In the light, the contact reliability will be affected, resulting in instantaneous power failure, and in severe cases the product will disintegrate;
3. Poor insulation:
Reason: The main reason is the improper selection of materials in the connector manufacturing process; it may also be due to the presence of excess metal on the surface or inside of the insulator, surface dust, flux and other pollutants and moisture, organic sediment and harmful gas adsorption film fusion with the surface water film The formation of ion conduction channels, moisture absorption, mildew, aging of insulating materials, etc., will cause short circuits, leakage, breakdown, low insulation resistance and other reasons;
Consequences: The role of the insulator is to keep the contacts in place and to insulate the contacts from each other and from the housing.
